it costs me to take my family to see a block buster $135 plus the pop corn etc. im surronded by noisy people, mobiles etc.i get hit by almost 30 mins of advertising.the so called sound is lousy.so i wait get a good copy play it in my basement with the family.less hassle more fun but i would willingly pay to download the movie from the film company.sadly its not an idea they think about.so my conclusion is the film companies want it all but will not look at alternatives.so thats why i use mininova keep going boys and girls
Mininova is a perfectly legal, safe, and useful web-tool that is becoming a respectable platform for the things its used for as well as other sites (such as TPB), if people have such a problem with us downloading their stuff they should encrypt better. Not our fault if we beat the system!
If film companies made dvds and blu rays that weren’t so amazingly over priced then I don’t think they would be getting raped by torrent sharing. I think £30 for a film on bluray is taking the piss. £10 I would pay, but I’d still download it first and if the film was good I’d buy it (which is what I do now). Answer – stop making shit films and stop over pricing them. Job done.
So Nick, what price sounds good to you? I can put money down that even if these things were say a $1, people would still download them, it is free then. Nobody ever complained about the price until they could get it for free. It is a poor excuse.
Mark needs to move out of his parents’ basement, being 40 and a virgin is never a good sign. Go outside, fresh air is good for you. Maybe go to a movie with, could it be, friends. Stop playing WOW, and get a real life, maybe a girlfriend, then you could experience real pleasure.
i have all those things, just trying to save so some money 4 me and not those damn movie theaters for $8.50+pop corn and shit
my internet cost me $45 a month
Boo hoo, logan. The theater is trying to make a profit. I guess that is a bad thing. Isn’t that the same thing you are doing with saving your money, trying to keep profits for yourself? Except for them, they are employing workers to serve you.
People can bitch about the economy all they want, not saying you, but there are no jobs because there is no reason for jobs. Why should I perform any work if someone will just steal my creation? Why should I put my time and effort into creating a movie, music, or anything if I won’t profit from it?
Think about the amount of jobs the music industry used to create each year with creating new labels, many artists used to create their own labels, meaning more jobs for people, and then those people spend money, and this creates demands for products, and then we have a healthy economy. Instead, people save their money by stealing, and we see the economy go down the tubes.
This is just the entertainment industry, which plays a big role in the economy, the global economy. Money needs to move, not stay in one place.
Argue, argue, argue. Is that all you people do? Download a movie or go outside or something. Or as google reader put it, http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm.
Torrent sites & peer-to-peer software aren't the problem...
It’s the major media companies that are. Joe, if people thought that prices for DVDs & movies @ the theatre were fair, then torrent sites wouldn’t exist, so apparently, not everyone shares your mindset. By the way, if you really wanna think about it, there are people out there who download a song from an album off the internet in order to sample that album, so that they can determine whether or not they’re interested enough in buying the album in stores. But, a lot of people do tend to download music b/c the companies price them too high. By the way, just to let you know (b/c I’m not sure if you do), I’ve heard from a LOT of places that a LOT of the money that’s made off selling music albums in stores actually goes to the label. The artist actually gets very little of the profits from the sale of a copy of an album that they record. And, it says a LOT when a LOT of today’s artists are forming their own labels, basically telling the big record labels to go screw themselves. So, Joe, in the end, a lot of your logic is faulty to begin with. So, in conclusion, kinda like what Mark said, shut the fuck up, put those two big corporate dicks back in your mouth & ass like a good little brainwashed zombie, so that those big companies can continue to fuck you over, and leave the rest of us alone who aren’t blindly loyal to Corporate America. And, for your sake, just don’t bother coming back here, because you’re just gonna end up getting that many more people ready to tear you a new one.
Lol, first of all, most artists make money from merchandise and tours, hence miley cyrus, the soon to be billionaire.
Second of all, the price being to high bring several other issues about the downloaders up.
First of all, if you can pay or are not smart enough to find a sample elsewhere…like youtube or better sources…don’t download it. Also, I have friends who are millionares, but download just because or their parents won’t let them. So really, downloaders are either stupid, mentally retarded, or ignorant, take your choice, I left out a few names too.
P.S sorry for my misspellings.
Information, many friend in the biz, and I am an actor.
Joe Nicols you would have to be the biggest flog i have yet to witness on the internet.. your arguements about the global economic status and why we should all contribute to the wellbeing of movie studios, music producers and whoever else is quite frankly disgusting….. i will never pay you cumstain…never….. if you think you are smarter ………prove it.. until such time .. go fuckself you flog………healthy economy!!! you are an absolute spastic..
I get a job like you guys at Wal-Mart, we all do the work to make their stores look nice for customers, who gets the most money? We are lucky to make it to the poverty line, while they have billions. Why not complain they don’t pay their employees enough, or shop elsewhere? Because of cheaper prices than those places that do pay their employees enough. Same as piracy, you want everything free now because why pay anything when it can be free? Would anyone that has been used to getting their products for free go back to buying? Don’t lie, you know you would not, you would find another means to get the products for free. You see, no matter what happens, the people doing the work will lose out.
Why is it that once the artists contract is up, the new one is always worth so much more? Because those people are now known as sellers, and worth the money. You know how after years of working at a job you get promotions, higher wages, it is the same in these industries. You don’t come out making the big bucks until you make a name for yourself.
Now with everyone just taking the music for free, why should anyone be paying these artists millions if they don’t sell? Why should any store pay their employees higher wages if sales are down? It makes no sense. People need to buy to create demand for products, which helps create jobs, and if you know anything about the economy, gets it moving again.
First time I ever felt compelled to comment on, well pretty much anything. But an anal wart like you, Joe, has drawn people out to join the debate that you are single-handedly losing for the media market by virtue of your dumb-fuckery, flawed logic and the simple fact that you are a fully licenced and bonded twat.
If you are indeed being fornicated with by studio and movie execs like the prissy little man-ho that you surely are, then fine. If Ted Turner and David Geffen are doing lines off your back while George Lucas tickles your naked buttocks with a wet dishcloth, thats your choice, each to their own. Then, maybe, I could understand your logic in commenting on this, as their cheeky little puppet on a string.
However, if you are the sort of regular work-a-day 9-to-fiver that you claim to be, then stop wasting everyones time and feck off. You dont wanna torrent? Then simple: DONT! Nobody asked you to. Take all your store receipts to heaven when you die (soon, if there is a God) and quit berating those of us that actually have the bollocks to stand up to the people you are happy to be fucked over by.
So in conclusion; take your Economics classes, your holier-than-thou attitude and the rest of your maladjusted loner self, disappear promptly up your own sphincter and forever there remain until you shrivel and depart this mortal coil. You prick.
Welcome to 21st century world Joe… Why cant I have it free??? The way you bitches trying mind wash that it is bad to “pirate” music/movie/etc is really sad. Muscians/Directors/Actors “losing” out because we download their stuff for free. Fuck them… if they fear losing out just don’t sing, I and billions of people dont care. These fucker just dont seems to notice their bullshits are getting nowhere except that the fact more and more people downloading for FREE. “Get my money elsewhere” is the real motto in this world now….! Stop treating us like we living in 80’s. Wake up !!!!
As you may have noticed, the dude above is NOT me. Mate, i appreciate your strength of feeling, but i personally would never use the word c**t. Not when there are far more satisfying descriptions of Mr Nicols, such as:
- the remains of a turd that just WONT flush, no matter how hard you try
- a half-priced rent-boy in the high rollin casino of life
- a pedantic, self-promoting case of hand-cramp, sitting in front of his Mac, stewing in his own love-gravy
joe you tit who put the world in resession ?? people who download torrents ? 1. get your facts right its the greedy bankers around the world and our governments that did it. 2 greedy politions who claim for 2 houses etc 3. bankers getting millions in pensions after doing shite jobs. money goes to money.. people slave day in day out to get fucked on taxes council tax, road tax, tax from your wages taxes on food, drink cigarettes. yet the greedy bastards want more from us. what do we get in return bottom of council house waiting lists so we can accomadate immagrants and spongers who refuse to work.
when we stand up and say this is not right we are then labeled racist or trouble makers. check this the average wage in around 800 -900 £ a month average food bill per month 130- 150 bills inc rent/ morgage 700 fuel for a car 100 a month maybe more that doesnt leave the average person much money left permonth to spend on computer games music cds and films the cost of the latest computer game is 45 latest music cd 10 film 20 we are in a ressesion and a lot of smnaller businesses are struggling yet british gas esso bp etc are still recording multi million pounds profit!!! there are no pockets in shrouds all these share holders with more money than sence storing it in numerous banks around the world. need to dip there hands in their pockets and help the world out a bit
Gotta love how the same welfare worker, your welcome too, is trying to put me down. Get a job, and you will understand how it feels to make money. Then, I will come and take it, then you will understand why these companies are fighting for their rights.
I see why Obama won, everyone wants the easy life of sitting on their ass, and letting everyone else work. Too bad, in 2012, he is gone. And the easy days for him will be over soon when the Dems are voted out.
K Joe, i cant speak for the dumb faker who keeps pretending to be me. Myself, I aint no welfare worker. I work in the care sector, looking after people with autism. I aint this benefit skank that you seem to think everyone who dl’s is. I get paid a shit wage for doing a job that I love doing. Whether you think thats a good enough reason for using torrents, I couldnt really give a spider monkeys arse. Rather torrent and love my job than being some racist shelf-stacker with a chip on his shoulder and a big dvd collection.
And whoever keeps nickin my name, get your own. Its not hard.
Fuck I hate when people discredit torrents. Why do they?
Everyone wants to save money and be entertained. Torrent sharing is just an updated version of a public library with more formats of media. What would the world be like if every author kicks up a fuss because they discover a copy of their book in one. Besides most artists aren’t loosing out because of poor CD sales, the producers. Artists make the majority of their profit from concerts and sale of memorabilia on tour. If musicians were so affected by downloading music why are the popular ones able to afford mansions or million dollar condos, besides unpopular musicians are rarely found on torrents or will even post their work on the net for free publicity. I will admit that the loss of cd and dvd sales will harshly affect stores who sell those products and will reduce some of producers profit but it is up to the entrepreneur to make sure that they provide merchandise that will sell. As for world economy; economy will always fluctuate it is its nature, however our current crisis is caused by poor government decisions, financial institutions and populations who wish to live outside their means. And as for the government being an issue if u are in a truly democratic country you elect your leaders it is up to you to make sure the ones you want are in charge. If any one wants to get a better grasp on the current economic crises try watching the documentary maxed out and if you pay attention the faults are on all sides.
Also technology will always change how the economy runs. Should we put factories on trial because they brought in new and more efficient machines, putting many workers out of work. They did this so they wouldn’t have to lighten the wallet. People will always find ways to keep as much of what they have earned and try to make the most out of the money they spend
Multinationals and corporations are taking all the $$$, but
no no no one complain. Machinery and advanced technology are
giving privileges and many should complain.
When will the software let poor watch a movie? Just a movie!
Some one can’t pay the bills and he lives in USA
That is how it is today. Sound and images is easy, as copy and paste are easy. Even when it is about big stuff.
A very, very , and very interesting movie will need police and a strong army for protection. Or it will not be cd , dvd , image and sound projection, …Creator that is when you have to do your work.
whilst i try to respect and involve any and all who are involved in the download/upload fraternity and also include those who actually support those who support the money makers in this business, and lets not forget that this is a business!! i really struggle with peoples perceptions about what is LEGAL and what is NOT. Who the fuck determines why it is legal? Why the fuck should i comply? Why can i switch my computer on, select a function, and suddenly be deemed a criminal.. By who ?? Why?? Why don’t the affected organistations acutally try to protect and encrypt their fucking precious products better???????? Because they don’t know how to the fucking losers………….. So until such time…….LONG LIVE TORENTS LONG LIVE PIRATES LONG LIVE THE INTERNET……………. try stopping us..I DARE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!
Im not gonna babble on…but mininova you have my support. All the best wishes mate from down under.
Excerpt from “the hackers mnifesto”…obviously subsitiuts it for torrents and users
“I am a hacker, and this is my manifesto. You may stop this individual, but you can’t stop us all… after all, we’re all alike.”
Yes we are all alike…..when one burns in the fire MANY arise from the ashes. If it is so illegal to SHARE my interests….is it illegal for me to share my headphones so my friend can listen to my new cd….or am i obliged to play royalties everytime i play a song in the car and someone in the street hears it!!!
Ok, so we are in a great recession. In fact it is so bad in the States and in many other countries that some economists are calling this the new Depression. I don’t think the white collar jobs that are created from music and movies will have any affect on the deepening situation. Come on now Joe, you must be a conservative. So therefore you should know this. Oh wait, that would imply that conservatives know anything other than how to fuck over those of us who work for a living. Wal-Mart was a poor example of a bad corporation. No they ain’t the best employers, but those people who work there don’t have to worry about job security. And they can get cheap things for the money they make, spreading their dollars so that maybe ends meet. And by the way, no body would be in this mess if not for Wall Street and their ever pressing manner of creating something from nothing. And if the music and film industries still wanted to the kind of money they made ten years ago, they would create products that people wouldn’t wait for. There are movies that I go to see, just like there are CDs that I still buy. It’ not rocket science. There will always be people who tape tapes, burn cds, and download movies. Find a cheap, accessible way of getting your media to us and people will BUY it. As Itunes is overpriced (the prices are the same as cds, does this seem strange to anyone but me) and has the market locked up, I don’t see anything changing. The entertainment industry wants us all to go back to an age before computers, which isn’t likely. They are unwilling or unable to come up with solutions other than to sue those who make the media accessible, which should have been their job, you know, when the internet started busting through with Kazaa.
Wow, this Joe Nichols character really is a giant, ignorant tool. How exactly does Obama come into this picture? Do you think he created the welfare system? Try doing some ‘actual’ research before speaking through your sphincter, because about 1/2 of the people in the US who are even on welfare or unemployment at this point in 2009 are on it because of the cluster-frack job done by George W when he fell asleep at the wheel and ‘let’ companies get ‘too big to fall’ and let the housing bubble burst on astrological proportions, together sending us into the biggest recession since the Great Depression.
I know you also want to blame torrent users for your lack of music sales… but you can’t blame them when your music just plain sucks. I went to your website to check it out, and listened with an open mind… I’m sorry, but it is out-dated. With your sound and singing style, like Randy Travis, your sales probably would have done better in the 80’s and 90’s… but let’s face it, you’re no Randy Travis, and his sales still hold today ‘because’ he already made his name over the past 20 years or so. You just sound like an out-of-touch wannabe.
Also, for your information, many modern and not-so-out-of-touch artists and entire music genres are actually making their money ‘by’ sharing their music on torrent sites. It gets them the exposure they won’t get on radio without a conglomerate representing them (but who also takes most of the profits for themselves). People share the music, new people hear the music, and then people buy the full CD’s, buy the merchandise, go see the shows, and then spread the word. My brother is one of them, and his music has even made it into a movie soundtrack because of his shared exposure.
To those reading I hope you understand my view on things. What is happening now is the well known grey zone that makes sites such as this one neither legal or illegal. In simple terms, This site is not hosting any files whatsoever all it is doing is providing an “easier” access to those who wish to get files that can be found anywhere on the internet, in this perspective it is legal. However, just like the get away driver helping the person robbing the bank. Mininova is helping in the distribution of illegal files. In that perspective what they are doing is illegal.
The question here ladies and gentlemen is why BREIN is wasting its time by cutting a branch and not the tree itself ?
The Answer is simple. Shutting down a big time torrent site such as this one will put a huge dent into torrent downloading. As a result it will place corporations in an advantage. More people will start buying instead of downloading, searching for torrents will become a bit more difficult and it will send a message out to all those other torrent sites that the corporations are not screwing around.
Why Mininova specifically ?
As of March 2009, approximately 1.6 billion people worldwide use the internet. Mininova’s global traffic is 0.7%. Which means roughly 11.2 million people visit and use Mininova.
Mininova almost has the same amount of people as UAE (4.8 million) and Israel (7.4 million) combined. Can you imagine what effect this will have if this site is closes ?
Mininova, in your defense. You may use this to your advantage. You are a service to a country of people and the people like it. It is not your fault that so many people appreciate what you are doing and as such you cannot be the one committing a crime because if you were, 11.2 million people were committing it with you.
Hope this helps.
Just a couple of words to those who wish to support Mininova:
If only half of the visitors wrote a letter to the court regarding this issue, the court would have to go through 5.1 million letters. If only a quarter of you wrote a letter the court will have to go through 2.5 million letters.
Mininova you have my support, good luck in the trial.
Some interesting comments on here, I understand that Joe about music and film companies needing to make a profit, but I also agree with the vast majority of people on here that say that the profits these companies make is wayyy to much! why do you think every1 on cribs has such a huge mansion……..errrr because before torrents these artists were making ££££’s while the rest of us slave a 9-2-5 Job for fuck all! If these companies opened there eyes and realized that they could actually MAKE MONEY from torrents if they took the same approach that itunes have. anyway enough of me blabering on….. GOOD LUCK MININOVA!!!!!!
Just have to comment, and I never do…I read through this blog, and Joe (who really is a Bush administration sex toy) is very successful in raising everyone’s hackles. If you read his comments, it soon becomes painfully evident that he knows not of what he writes. Economists and generally educated people alike are clearly aware that the current ailments of the global economy are NOT a manifestation of torrent downloaders; movie and music companies, etc continue to realize staggering profits, at the expense of the consumer, and the artist. Nevertheless, I just wanted to say that I am a professional by career, making 6 figures annually, and also I ghost write music for a hip hop label, making 5 figures annually from that endeavor as well. I pruchase music and go to movies, and I also download both from the internet. I want to thank all of you for the entertaining rantings…if anything, this debate does generate much food for thought. Unfortunately, there are users such a Treesmoker that are one chromosome away from Downsyndrome…logging in to display his incredible grasp of the C word and F bomb. But Treesmoker, (and I fully believe you smoke a whole chronic tree daily) you are just as entertaining! Long live Mininova, may the little guy prevail and the big companies remain rich and pissed off at us!
I am, well of two minds here. I am aware that todays high technology brings to us things that are not available in any other way. As an Anime fan I have been known to download movies, series and OVA’s not in any other way available in the United States.
I would willingly pay to own those creations.
Yet as a professional writer copyright is important to me. Not for the cash, I’ve never even broken even. All of my work is available for free on my site. But to keep others from making a few little changes and calling it their own (yes this has happened to me, and only the threat of a lawsuit made her destroy her ‘work.’)
Still, movies, books and music are created by people who cannot create without the funds to do so. It takes time, effort and money to create them. If they cannot at least make a small profit after costs, they (meaning everyone from artists to programmers to writers to movie makers)will cease creating.
\
Then where would the world be? Where will you be?
I would no more download X-MEN for example than I would the latest MOODY BLUES album. I will either rent or buy. And as for books, it is darn hard to read a computer in the bath or bed. Dangerous in the first case.
Now I am not a copyright lawyer, I don’t bottom feed. I cannot make legal opinion. Opinions yes, legal ones? No. I too would prefer to pay for streaming video to watch at home. I’ve worked in theaters, I know how filthy those chairs and people are for example.
But the powers that be refuse this option, making us either have to buy or rent, with the problems associated with renting. Considering I have hundreds of VHS tapes, and nearly fifty DVD’s that I have bought…
I wish you well, but considering the last jury decision, I cannot see you having much success.
By the way, our current draconian copyright laws are a direct result of Herr Disney discovering that Steamboat Willy was about to go Public Domain. There was nothing wrong with the original limits, though the law needed to be updated to the digital age. But Disney has tons of money, so they changed the law.
If you wander by my site, there are no pop-up ads, no cookies other than the basic ‘You are Here’, I keep no databases and nothing is downloaded to your system unless you decide to save something. Then maximum information I ever have is when I check BOINGDRAGON. All it tells me is the IP addresses, which only tell me the country and city the visitor is in. I don’t even check that very often.
Again, best of luck, but I fear the worst for you.
Ok. I read through all of the responses that people wrote above and it gave me two perspectives to look through. I am not rich and far from it. I would not buy music and movies because it wont fit my budget but who are these labels to tell me I can’t enjoy myself just like the rest. I work and pay taxes to the government so that is a type of reparation if you will. The death of mininova will not have any harm on the pirating community. There are warez sites which are large in number, maybe not as much as mininova, but will pickup speed(eg: warez-bb, warezraid, warezscene.) These large corporations attempts are futile in the end. I refuse to pay the corporations because I barley make enough money to pay for basic necessities and they have never done anything for me but bragged about their wealth on shows like MTV Cribs. You know what also? I could live with a few artists going out of business, it wont have any affect on me. None of them know what poverty is really like. I am trying to stay away from profanity in this as well(just an fyi) but if they don’t like piracy they would should stop making movies and music(even though that would never happen) it would only have more of a profound affect on the perception of the US culture. If piracy is illegal, laws will start to be ignored, because anyone with a brain could tell that these large corporations are just paying them off. Why else would the government go after people who download music and movies. I would just like to set something straight that I am not by no means a conspiracy theorist or one of those nut jobs.
@Joe Nicols: Wow… Seriously… I make my own Techno music but I do not expect to get paid for it. I expect to get paid when I DJ because I am doing something but I make music so people can enjoy it not so I can be a cunt and make money off it. Just because we are so used to seeing people getting money for creating music doesn’t make it right. My brother is the lead programmer of a free MMORPG, he does it so people can see his work because he takes pride in it. Tell me which “professional” singer or whatever does that now-a-days… Not very many. Also we are not complaining about the economy. 10 bucks for movie tickets is too expensive. I just wait for the DVD to come out to rent it. I usually buy DVD’s if they are good, for example I have a collecter’s box for all the Star Wars (not animated) movies, it cost 65 bucks but I bought it just to have it. People still spend money. If someone likes a singer a lot they make time to go to their concerts that can cost sometimes up to 100 bucks a ticket. They still make money and we just find a more efficient way of getting their work. Also I bought Elders Scrolls 4: Oblivion twice (Xbox 360 and PC) I got the year edition which cost 70 bucks that is 140 bucks that Zenimax got from one person. So they get money.
BREIN is a lame company that holds no rights however to ask for charges against mininova. Now they are also looking at Usenets…I am dutch as well and most people here in Holland hate the company. When it announced it was gonna sue the piratebay their website got attacked by hackers for over a week!
a. I live in a country where I cannot buy the music I want. Purchasing online is one solution, but the system is complex and I wind up paying double tax. Ergo, I download until such time as I listen to the music and decide I want to purchase. I then purchase online in my home country. I have boxes full of unopened CDs, or occasionally I re-rip to a lossless format and archive the CD.
b. I like to buy vinyl. Again, if I can find a quality torrent I will use that for my portable device and network media player. The vinyl remains used only on special occasions when I am in my home country.
c. I have a Masters in macroeconomics. Ok it’s health economics. But maybe my additiona PhD in another field is sufficient for joe to step the fuck off and learn a lesson. There are legitimate and useful reasons for p2p filesharing. There are also illegitimate reasons. In much the same way as there are right and wrong reasons for all kinds of things. Guns. Poppy fields. Putting sugar in Joes fueltank.
d. Joe is a dick. No one needs to prove a damn thing to you mate insofar as their intelligence is concerned. You’re the one alleging to know something about something, then attempting to effect change through a bloody comment thread on a website. You may wish to get a grip and then jam that grip up your arse – you clown.
it costs me to take my family to see a block buster $135 plus the pop corn etc. im surronded by noisy people, mobiles etc.i get hit by almost 30 mins of advertising.the so called sound is lousy.so i wait get a good copy play it in my basement with the family.less hassle more fun but i would willingly pay to download the movie from the film company.sadly its not an idea they think about.so my conclusion is the film companies want it all but will not look at alternatives.so thats why i use mininova keep going boys and girls

Torrenters Forever, Stand Proud! X
Remember that Mininova is NOT a tracker but a search site like Google or yahoo, so things will not be the same in court (i hope)
i dont get why they get in court for copyrights when google and cie don’t…
i guess life just isn’t fair!
“We are born free but everywhere we are in chains
You guys rock keep on going strong fight the system and ill keep sharing thanks for all the people who make this site happen
Hi guys,
If film companies made dvds and blu rays that weren’t so amazingly over priced then I don’t think they would be getting raped by torrent sharing.
Mark, get off welfare like the other Obamanators. Get jobs, stop counting on others to do the work for you, and create everything for you.

Instead, people save their money by stealing, and we see the economy go down the tubes.
This is just the entertainment industry, which plays a big role in the economy, the global economy. Money needs to move, not stay in one place.
Think about it, it does make a lot of sense.
Argue, argue, argue. Is that all you people do? Download a movie or go outside or something. Or as google reader put it, http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm.
Whats going on now when is the next hearing?
Anyone here ever take any Econ classes?
Wish the best for you guys, im sure things will work out guys
As you may have noticed, the dude above is NOT me. Mate, i appreciate your strength of feeling, but i personally would never use the word c**t. Not when there are far more satisfying descriptions of Mr Nicols, such as:
- the remains of a turd that just WONT flush, no matter how hard you try
- a half-priced rent-boy in the high rollin casino of life
- a pedantic, self-promoting case of hand-cramp, sitting in front of his Mac, stewing in his own love-gravy
i hope this clears everything up
joe you tit who put the world in resession ?? people who download torrents ? 1. get your facts right its the greedy bankers around the world and our governments that did it.
Good luck guys
thank you
Why exactly are they picking on mininova? This is the last torrent recourse I’d imagine being dragged into court…
whilst i try to respect and involve any and all who are involved in the download/upload fraternity and also include those who actually support those who support the money makers in this business, and lets not forget that this is a business!! i really struggle with peoples perceptions about what is LEGAL and what is NOT.
AND YEAH DONT USE MY POST AS EVIDENCE IN COURT….THATS COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT. Copyright © 2009 – 2021 ELEMENTALGODZ
Like I said before one NonBeliever seems to use more punctuation then the other…
Mininova can’t loose this case… Right? I mean if they do other torrent resources will get sued instantly…
You can find torrents with google, why isn’t anybody suing them about that ?
Because Google co-owns the Internet with Yahoo.
You didn’t know that?
Ignore the grammar in the above post please ^^. I am trying to portray a point not a Literature piece. Feel free to comment on my post if you wish.
TANSTAAFL
Kenoscope
lol….Nup i disagree with the lot of ya!
When it announced it was gonna sue the piratebay their website got attacked by hackers for over a week!
i love mininova and would like to thanks all the staff for running such a good search enjine
Lawsuits over filesharing are about as effective as the war on drugs.
My my. My first comment as well.
So
Companies stealing from the people is cool and that’s the way society should work
but
people stealing from the same companies that have been stealing from them for years and forcing them into debt is wrong.
Aren’t we being a little bit biased here? Well, Joe?
well scheduled for my birthday (july 15) this will be a surprise…..
