Hi all,

As many of you noticed, Mininova experienced a massive blackout this week. The problems begun when the hard disk of our load-balancer (running LVS) started having issues (random freezes and crashes). When attempting to fix these issues, our hosting company found some other problems and were unable to start the server up again. Combined with the fact that we’re now in the midst of two successive holidays in The Netherlands, this all resulted in an extensive downtime of Mininova.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience you might have experienced. We are still investigating the problems, and will do our utmost to prevent similar issues in the future.

    I am disabled and hate tv commercials or popping in DVD’s when it’s hard to move around. I don’t know what it takes to run Mininova; but I am very glad you do. Thanks to all your staff for doing a great service for me.

    Yea like Me said those redirects on your page are horrible it traps your browser and starts scanning and wont let you do anything this is a major prob for me

    Thanks for reviving the server.
    I am glad you didn’t waste your vacation fixing this though or it probably would have stressed your team out even more and then there might be other mistakes due to over tiredness.

    I imagine it was hard works since I think it’s one of those main-frame computer servers like at my College. We have an entire room dedicated to ports going in and out even though the college isn’t that big.

    If you use mininova so much, you could have spent the time just watching a movie/playing a game/listening to music etc. you downloaded from here.

    I am getting frustrated and angry at you folks or at someone! All too often these days when I am browsing through torrents I will suddenly and with no choice or participation on my part, be transported to the page:http://iexplorer-security.org/?id=987650067. That quickly boots me to another page and the upshot of the whole deal is that they are using disgusting tactics to attempt to trick or force me into downloading and buying software that I don’t want, don’t need and don’t know anything about. Their trickery actually robs me of control of my browser unless I select “OK” and download their stinking software. I have to force my browser to quit in order to regain control.
    Is this something that you are aware of? Is it something you sanction? It’s sneaky and dishonest and it makes me wish I knew who and where those people are so I could stop by, tell ‘em what I think and maybe kick somebody’s butt.
    I’d appreciate a response. Thanks for all your hard work. Joe

    I appreciate all mininova team offers.I`ve had plenty off of this site.Yet I cant upload files asquick asI`d like.I`m on Virgin.I`ve looked at my stats.My upload is 860 KB/s,Yet my upload is just 90 KB/s.My pc is set to max upspeed but can up at 500 KB/s.Whats wrong? P.S. I`m on 50GB optical cable.
    E-mail me so I can contribute my archives faster.I`ve already uploaded 102GB,got 1.25TB left to give.

    I went to the doctor’s with a rash, he confirmed that this was because of Mininova downtime, he said it would clear up when Mininova was back on line. Great thanks Doc!!!!
