As you might know, all our RSS feeds point to the “General info” pages of torrents. However, this is not very convenient when using our feeds in combination with torrent clients that require direct links to the .torrent files. We got quite a few mails from people that asked for an option to let the RSS feed link directly to the .torrent files.
So how do you change your feed to point to the .torrent instead of the “General info” page? Well, all you have to do is add “?direct” (when it’s the first “argument”) or “&direct” to your RSS feed!
So the global feed would become (note the question mark):
http://www.mininova.org/rss.xml?direct
All other cases require a ampersand:
http://www.mininova.org/rss.xml?cat=8&direct
Even though this flag was around for quite some time, not many people probably knew about it, hopefully this post changes that ![]()

Mininova thats seriously cool ^^ always love your work

Wow, c quand meme assez profond qui aurait cru que ce fut possible…
pourqoui est-ce que tout le monde parle en francais??
Why the hell is everyone talking/ responding in french??
thanks you!
Is there any way to set the order of the rss items, for instance by number of seeds? I tried adding /seeds on the the end but no good…
any ideas?
That’s not how RSS feeds work, it’s supposed to be the order in which it is released, what good would your automatic RSS downloader do if it was always in the order of seeds.
Wonderful feature, now the only thing I miss is an RSS Feed of my search results sorted by seeders or leechers. Would you ever do that for me someday?…
hugs & kisses,
Laura
(for Dan: it would definitely do good i think, because you could automatically download only most popoular releases or the ones with a good leechers/seeders ratio, i’ve seen that other torrent sites implement this feature, but not my favourite one yet..)
Sometimes…I leave my computer for a week or so during a holiday to go back home and forget to temporarily close the windows updats that will restart my computer. In this case the torrent client will be turned off and hense the feed will not be functional. I was wondering if in the advanced search section you could possibly search by specific dates of the releases so I could catch up on the files that have been uploaded since before the turn-off.
Deeply appreciated
merci!!
what about a RSS from a search, like for example : http://www.mininova.org/rss/lost fr
it doesn’t work with “?direct” neither “&direct”…
apparemment cela ne marche pas avec un flusx rss qui correspond a une recherche, comme “http://www.mininova.org/rss/lost fr “
@nico:
Thanks for noticing! This is fixed now, use ?direct with the search feeds
I was wondering if you guys could implement the same “Search RSS” functionality, but for specific user uploads. I use the search rss for “axxo” but there are so many fake uploads that I would much prefer have a feed that only lists the items that the user “axxo” uploads. is this possible?
I definitely second Devin’s request for feeds for a certain user. There are a couple of really wonderful guys that dedicate their time to releasing high quality content - axxo and skirgsk among others - and an RSS feed for their torrents would be great. C’mon, it can’t be that hard, but would be an extremely useful feature.

To get a feed of all official axxo torrents use the following:
http://www.mininova.org/rss.xml?user=axxo&direct
This is the feed for torrents uploaded by the user axxo. Alternately, use the page:
http://www.mininova.org/user/axxo
Thanks Mer Ner! They should add a button on the user’s page for this, like on the search results page.
Either way, works perfectly, and the direct option is also very handy.
Thanks Mer Ner,
I was looking for exactly this info! Thank you
PLZ give me daily torrents
thanks
Is it possible to get the number of seeds/leechers and maybe comments in the rss feed ?
Is it possible to REMOVE the number of seeds/leechers in the rss feed ? It makes my utorrent think there is a whole new torrent every time the torrent refreshes with a new number of seeds/leechers.
Thanx Mer Ner !
