Just a few days left and it’s Christmas, the time of the year you spend with family, friends and… browsing the new & improved Mininova 
As you may have noticed, the site has undergone huge changes. We moved the site to a new hoster and datacenter, which will drastically improve performance. The search backend of the site has also been rewritten, resulting in a faster (and hopefully better) search experience.
After months of development and testing, we’re also introducing a new layout for Mininova. Extra functionality has been added and existing features are easier to use now. For example the “Jump to category” drop down box will help you quickly go to your favorite section, but also quite a few other cool but subtle features have been added.
This doesn’t mean the site is perfect now. In fact, we’re quite sure there are still some bugs & errors left, which we didn’t spot. In case you do, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to fix them! Same counts for the layout: please let us know your ideas to improve the layout.

Any chance you could put the ipodnova torrents on a separate page ? They are really polluting the main page.
there was a comment on the time in which the torrents are
uploaded to the site so you can search better.
if it isn’t there already, i would also like that back.

but: in user-view (e.g. http://www.mininova.org/user/eztv) sorting doesn’t work.
The new site looks great. But the one thing u guys took away that I really miss iwas the time for when torrents were posted. Now its just the date. I know someone posted this earlier, but if you guys bring that back it would be really great.
BTW, The forum is down with this error message:
“IPS Driver Error
There appears to be an error with the database.”
Probably a temporary thing, I hope.
Loyal to mininova and i like the changes. The best out there…i believe!
Sorting on the user page now works.

The new site looks great and already I’ve noticed a difference, particularily with speed! However, I can’t seem to download anything! I usually use azureus and it seemingly won’t let me download the files. I can dl the torrents…but not the actual files…any ideas?

500 - Internal Server Error
I know time of torrent is available in detail’s page, but would be nice to be able to sort by time and date.
Also 500 - Internal Server Error!
Other than that love the new site and when it’s working it is a lot faster than the old one.

Love the new site except, it’s pretty darn tootin hard to access it, I keep getting the 500 internal server error, and “The page cannot be displayed” quite a bit. It maybe because of bandwidth limitations or something, but I understand that you guys are trying uot new things, but thanks for the great work anyway.

I can’t access mininova for over a day now. Sometimes the header comes up with sql error cant connect to database.
same prob, 505 and sql cannot access error

Hello, I’m french and I think Mininova is one of the best torrent site!!!
I used the beta version of minova before its auhing and it was already great.
The new layout is very good.

I like the new layout, but I’m encountering a weird problem. With the old layout I could download the torrents just fine, but now I can’t. I’m using FireFox, but when I use Internet Explorer, it works just fine.
Any fix?

Hi! Great layout, but I have some problems with search.
> I want to search the word “Babata”. If I write “Babat” only, It won’t find anything even if there is some torents with the word “Babata”. That’s because the search work only on entire words!
So for a real example, if I search “DVD”. It won’t include all torrents with the word “DVDRIP” because it search only the word “DVD”… So my bookmark with the search “DVD FR” return me not a lot of torrents… and the torrents with words as “DVDRIP FRENCH” won’t be included on…
Please, could you fixed it? Because before I was able to make theses research and all all the torrents who “includes” my search…

Why is it that when I try to go to http://WWW.MININOVA.ORG I end up at http://WWW.MEGANOVA.ORG….has any one else got this problem.
Is it just me or is the site having serious problems displaying the seeds and leachers? Why is there so few of them now?

I try to log onto http://www.mininova.org and also keep getting redirected to a site named meganova. But the address bar still says http://www.mininova.org? What gives is this a bug or a problem? Can someone help…
The new site looks just great! It would be better if the “search” utility searches into the “details” of the torrents. For ex. if there is a torrent that says “1000 fiction books” that contains my favorite John Grisham thriller, the search utlity doesnt return this torrent when I type in “john grisham”.
