  2. 2 Linkin

    can’t wait to see:

    - Disabled passworded torrents

  3. 3 Bhav

@Linkin: it will be extremely hard to filter out passworded torrents, because you only know if they’re passworded if you download them and try them.

  4. 4 Matthijs

Linkin if you code us a something that by just checking the hash can tell if a rar file is passworded or not, we’d be glad to use it ;)

Erik - You proudly have those “W3C XHTML 1.0″ buttons at the bottom of mininova, but quite often the mininova-pages don’t validate… Especially on the detail-page of a torrent (I mean the page you get, when you just click on an entry from the main-page), I get errors of missing tags, and also things like unescaped special characters in torrent-filenames (also on the detail-pages)… I detected this when I tried a very strict experimental XHTML-only browser that a friend of mine developed…

Would you care enough to fix that?

  30. 30 ---

Besides… the system-time of your server seems to be 5 mins into the future… ;-)
Maybe you could sync it to a time-server…

  31. 31 Austin

How about per-category RSS feeds? I’m only interested in TV shows on MN, so the rest of the files listed in the RSS feed are useless for me.

  32. 32 Niek

    @…:
There was a XHTML error in a advertisement link I added yesterday, it’s fixed now. As far as I know all pages validate correctly. If you discover one that doesn’t, please let me know.

    @Austin:
    Please check http://www.mininova.org/faq#rss-custom

  33. 33 ---

http://www.mininova.org/tor/197269 for example validates, but spits out a warning about an unescaped ampersand… A few weeks ago I had one with even more strange chars and that one didn’t validate for sure…

    great site guys/girls

  35. 35 Sal

is mininova.org shutting down, coz apparently there registered with godaddy.com which is their server, and the server is shutting these sites down. Can anyone please confirm or deny!

  36. 36 bazhuddy

    Shamone you muvva’s

  37. 37 charlie

Austin you can already do that by giving the rss feed address a category code
    http://www.mininova.org/rss.xml?cat=x
where the x is the category you want to view.
you can get the categories elsewhere on the site

  39. 39 ---

    Niek: Here’s a good example of strange chars in a filename… doesn’t validate…

Just a not, I was able to paste my password to the password field when I reset my old password. I really don’t see the problem with pasting passwords to the password field? I use PWSafe to generate high quality passwords, so copy/paste is a big help :P
