here is a little mininova christmas update.
- The nice christmas logo. (Jos)
- The Detailed Information page now contains a “Download playlist (.pls)” link for all music torrents which don’t already contain a playlist (Matthijs).
- You can now search for specific files contained inside the torrents. Just enter the filetype preceded by a dot. For example “linux .tar .gz” will search for all files containing the word linux and of type .tar or .gz (Erik)
- Your search keywords are now highlighted in the result set. (Erik)
- “Did you mean” feature which suggests better keywords for your searches. For example “linex”. (Erik)
- Files stats page. (Erik)

Hello all from Australia. I love this site, I am a huge supporter. I have my first formal complaint to make and its not Mininovas fault. I went to download Lost S2 E01 http://www.mininova.org/tor/187253 and all it is an advertisement, spam as to where we should be downloading it from. People like that should be banned, their IP should be totally banned to. I wasted what was so close to my download limit for the month on spam. I know its not your fault mininova, I know that you cant control everything that comes through here but if we single them out maybe these spammers can be kept from Mininova as so we can have an honest community that gets what they clicked on. Keep up the great work Mininova, we love you here in Queensland, Australia! We salute you

Wow that filetype search is really cool. You can do a search like this: http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=under+the+bridge.mp3 and find out that the ‘Billboard Top 100 of 1992′ torrent contains that song.

Hi Guys Love The Web site have been using Mininova now for nearly a year I first started using your site since the early part of 2005 after http://www.suprnova.org was force to end submitting torrents I find mininova to be really easy to use and generaly you can always find what your looking for,I personaly thing Mininova will be the new Suprnova hence the fact they are back under the new name of Newnova.org which iv recently been using however I still prefare Mininova out of all the torrent sites on line.Keep up the good work Lets Just hope there’s way now that Jo Public can put pressure on the Goverment,Music and Film industrie to get Torrent sites Legalised.

MOD: null isn’t one person. It’s a bug in the blog software, some persons who leave the name field blank get null as their name.
